Cafe Sudoku offers a unique take to light jazz, incorporating elements of latin jazz, city pop, avant-garde jazz, and Hiromi-esque virtuosic piano, and features instruments rare in the genre such as accordion and steel drum. The unifying factor is that all of it is cozy and cute! A huge inspiration for this album was the Sims 1 soundtrack. That soundtrack managed to be calm background music without compromising on intrigue and complexity of music. Cafe Sudoku strives to achieve a similar feeling of coziness while remaining quirky and interesting. Other inspirations for this album include Yann Tomita, Miles Davis, and João Gilberto. It is a completely DIY-ed jazz album, part 1 of the upcoming video game of the same name. The game is exactly what it sounds like, a cute mobile game where you play sudoku in a cozy cafe listening to light jazz. It will be released....eventually :) Guitar was provided by Dylan Williams and the album art is by @deathcomequickly
